In Amethi, UP, 4 members of a family were brutally killed after breaking into their house on Thursday evening. The miscreants fired 9 rounds one after the other and killed the entire family. The accused have not been identified yet. On the initial investigation, the police believe that the reason behind the murder is an old rivalry. Four police teams have been deployed to search for the accused. Along with this, the STF is also engaged in searching for the accused. The responsibility of solving the case has once again fallen on the shoulders of DSP DK Shahi. DK Shahi was the one who exposed the Sultanpur robbery.
Corpses were scattered in the courtyard.
The incident took place at the Ahorwa Bhavani intersection of the Shivratanganj police station area of Amethi where Sunil Kumar Bharti lived with his family in a rented room. Sunil Bharti was a resident of Sudamapur village of Jagatpur police station area of Raebareli and was an assistant teacher at Panauhana Composite School of Singhpur block in Amethi. In this massacre, teacher Sunil Kumar, his wife Poonam Bharti and two daughters aged 5 and 1.5 years died. Police reached the spot and found the bodies of the husband and wife near the tap in the courtyard of the house while the bodies of their two innocent daughters were lying a little distance away. After the incident, Sunil’s mother is inconsolable and is crying. Sunil’s villagers are also in shock after this massacre.
Who is the killer of the whole family?
After this murder inside the house, the police and STF started searching for the murderers. The investigation of the case has been given to DSP DK Shahi who had revealed the Sultanpur robbery. The forensic team that reached the spot after the incident collected some important evidence from the house. According to what has come to light in the police investigation so far, after the murder, the criminals did not touch anything in the house, meaning looting was not their intention, they had come only to commit murder.
Did the FIR for molestation become the reason for the murder?
Another theory behind the murder is that on August 18, Sunil Bharti’s wife Poonam had filed a case of molestation under the SC/ST Act against a person named Chandan Verma at Raebareli police station. The police are also investigating from this angle whether this murder has any link with him or not.
Deceased Sunil has also worked as a police officer.
Ramgopal, the father of deceased Sunil, said that he works as a laborer. As soon as he came home after work, he got the news that his son, daughter-in-law, and children had been killed. Ramgopal said that his son used to work as a bricklayer at a brick kiln. He worked in NREGA, and opened a labour shop but also studied. After studying, he also got a job in the police. He worked in the police for one year. He did not like the job of a policeman, so after that, he decided to become a teacher and he became a government teacher.
CM Yogi ordered strict action.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over this brutal murder in Amethi and has also ordered strict action against the culprits. Now politics has also started on this issue. Akhilesh Yadav has raised questions on the Yogi government by posting on social media. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi, MP from Rae Bareli, said that if justice is not served, he will himself go to Amethi. He has also spoken to Amethi MP KL Sharma on the phone on this issue.
It is still not clear who carried out this incident in broad daylight in Amethi. The incident was carried out in such a cunning manner that no one saw the killers. At present, the police are investigating the case from every angle because no eyewitness of the incident has come forward yet. In such a situation, the biggest challenge for the police will be to identify the accused.
