Gorakhpur: CM Yogi honored deities, sculptors in 9 new temples

Gorakhpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Pithadhiswara of Gorakhpeeth Yogi Adityanath on Sunday consecrated the deities in the nine new shrines built at the Gorakhnath temple. Along with this, Sri Lakshminarayana Mahayagna and Srimad Bhagwat Mahapurana Kathajnayanayagna were also endowed.

The process of Prana Abhishek has started from May 8 in Gorakhnath temple. Under which Sri Shiva Mahapurana Katha and Sri Lakshmi Narayan Mahayagna and Srimad Bhagwat Mahapurana Katha Gnanayagna were organized.

CM Yogi performed the Sri Lakshmi Narayana Mahayagna in full on Sunday and sanctified his life by worshiping the deities amid chanting of Vedic mantras. Meanwhile the whole atmosphere had become devotional. A seven-day Srimad Bhagwat Mahapurana Kathayajna was also celebrated along with the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhavan of the Gorakhnath temple.

CM Yogi honored the artisans and sculptors who built the temple and idols. He honored architect Anupam Aggarwal as well as Jaipur-based father-son duo Mukesh Kumar Jaimini and Shivam Kumar Jaimini, who sculpted the deities in marble. Along with this, the Chief Minister wished for the welfare of the common man.

The Chief Minister requested everyone to keep the temple premises clean. The newly constructed temples consecrated by CM Yogi include Sri Hanuman, Sri Ram Durbar, Sri Radhakrishna, Sri Dashavatar Vishnu, Sri Navagraha Mandir, Sri Santoshi Mata, Sri Chatthi Mata and Sri Bal Devi.

A huge repository was also organized in the Gorakhnath temple premises for the Pran Pratistha. In which a large number of devotees took Prasad. Bhajan Sandhya will be organized from 6 pm on Sunday evening on the occasion of idol immersion in new temples. A bhajan evening organized at Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhavan will provide an opportunity to listen to the devotional songs of renowned bhajan singer Kanhaiya Mittal.
