Ghaziabad, May 19 (Hindustan). Ghaziabad district, adjacent to Delhi, will be gifted with one more joint district hospital in the health sector on Saturday. The construction of a 50-bed combined district hospital at Loni has been completed and the hospital has also been staffed from the government level.
Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak will inaugurate this hospital on Saturday. CMO Dr. Bhavatosh Shankhadhar said that about 10 lakh people will benefit from the opening of the joint district hospital in Loni. Loni Community Health Center will operate in its place.
Loni has a population of around 10 lakhs. A 50-bed Joint District Hospital has been a long-standing demand in the area. In March 2014, a proposal to build a 50-bed hospital in Loni area was sent and in 2018, the government released the budget for the hospital. This hospital, built at a cost of 10 crores, will be dedicated to the public from Saturday. The construction department was responsible for the construction of the hospital. After the complete building of the hospital is ready, the health department has got it and the staff has also been deployed.
– These facilities will be available
Along with delivery and general operations, dental, eye and nose, ear and throat operations will also be performed at Loni’s Joint District Hospital. Apart from this, all blood tests will be done in the hospital itself. Two OTs, OPD and Emergency have been set up in the hospital.
– Recruitment of staff
13 doctors from Meerut and GB Nagar have been appointed at the government level in the hospital. It includes one hospital CMS, one gynaecologist, three surgeons, one anesthesiologist, six EMOs and one radiologist.
– They will benefit
There are 49 villages in Loni area. Apart from this, there are about 800 small and large colonies. Loni has only one Community Health Center (CHC) for a population of over 1 million, which provides health services to the residents of Loni. Even for minor ailments the people of Loni area had to visit the District MMG Hospital and the Combined District Hospital at Sanjay Nagar. Patients had to go to Delhi for operations and treatment of serious diseases. Now they will have all the facilities close to home.
Three districts will get CT scan centres
Besides inaugurating a joint district hospital in Loni, Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak will gift CT scan centers to district MMG Hospital in Ghaziabad and district hospitals in Shamli and Sambhal. This CT scan center will work on PPP model. Patients will get the facility of free CT scan from these centers. CT Scan Center at United District Hospital located in Sanjay Nagar, Ghaziabad is already working on PPP model.
