Brian Booth, the former Test captain of the Australian cricket team, has passed away at the age of 89. Cricket Australia gave this information through social media. After the death of Brian Booth, there has been a wave of mourning in the entire cricket world.

Booth represented Australia 29 times. He captained Australia in two matches during the 1965–66 Ashes series against England. He scored 1773 runs in 29 Tests for Australia at an average of 42.21.
