New Delhi: A massive fire broke out in a factory in north Delhi’s Narela industrial area late on Tuesday night. Around 24 fire tenders were immediately rushed to the spot and the fire was brought under control after several hours of effort. No casualty is reported in this incident.

Atul Garg, director of the fire department, said on Wednesday that at 10.30 pm last night, information was received about the fire in a shoe-slipper factory located in Narela. As soon as the information was received, 24 vehicles of the fire brigade reached the spot one after another and after hours of hard work, the fire was brought under control.

The fire was so fierce that even the nearby factories were feared to be engulfed in it. Therefore, as a precautionary measure, nearby factories were evacuated. Along with this, the power supply was stopped in the entire area to prevent the fire from spreading due to short circuit.

According to the police, no one was present inside the factory at the time of the incident, resulting in no casualty. However, all the goods kept inside have been burnt to ashes.
