Fatehabad: Thieves stole goods and cash worth lakhs from four places

Fatehabad, May 14 (Hindustan). Cases of thieves stealing goods worth lakhs of rupees from four places in the district have come to light. Thieves broke the locks of 3 shops simultaneously in Hijarwan Kalan village on Saturday night and stole thousands of rupees worth of cash and goods, while a woman in Bhutan Khurd village told an acquaintance to take her father to an eye doctor. Cash and jewelery worth Rs.1.5 lakh were stolen from the house. Police have registered a case in all four cases. CCTV footage has also come to light in the incident of theft in Hijravan.

In the complaint given to the police, Satish, a resident of Hijrawan Kalan, said that he has a shop at the bus stand of the village. The thief entered his shop at around 1.55 am. He took LED screens, BD packets, cold drink bottles, mustard oil bottles and Rs 7800 in cash. After this, the thieves broke into the spare parts shop of Ramswaroop and stole DVR, 5 mobile packs, 16 thousand rupees in cash from there. The thieves then raided Hoshiar Singh’s store and stole dal, cold drinks, oil bottles and cash worth Rs 4,800. Roshni, a resident of Khurd, Bhutan, said her father begs from Fatehabad and her mother is blind. He stays at his parents’ house to serve them.

He said that a villager named Surjit came and said that he was taking his father to see an eye doctor. He asked Roshni to come on foot and took the father on a bike. Roshni alleged that after this the accused entered the house from another route and when she returned home from some work, she saw the accused running away by jumping over the wall. After this, when he took over the house, it was found that the lock was broken and one and a half lakh rupees, gold and silver ornaments kept together for a long time were missing. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
