Ghaziabad: Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav has raised questions on the change in the appointment process of DGP in Uttar Pradesh. Akhilesh Yadav said that the rule that has been made proves that everything is not going well in Lucknow and Delhi. Is this an attempt to take the reins from Delhi in their own hands? Taking a dig at Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the SP leader said that many senior IPS officers are disappointed with this decision of the government.

The government wants to appoint a special officer as DGP

On the question of giving a two-year tenure to the DGP, Akhilesh Yadav said that preparations are being made to appoint a special officer to the top post. So that injustice can be done. So that the law can be flouted. Those who do not know whether they will stay for two years or not are making a rule of two years.

The date of the by-election was changed due to fear of defeat.

On the question of changing the date of the by-election, the SP chief said that the BJP had sensed that it would lose the election. That is why the date of the election was changed. The people who had come home for Diwali, Bhaiya Dooj, and Chhath Puja were going to give the government sleepless nights by voting. That is why the BJP people changed the date of the by-election. He also alleged that the BJP people must have been involved in some conspiracy.

BJP must be making some special preparations. The government will make the police prepare ahead. These people must be identifying the booths. These people do not want to let people vote. If the date had to be changed, it could have been changed earlier. Apart from this, Akhilesh Yadav also cornered the government on many other issues.

Reaction given on UP Board of Madrasa Education Act

On the Supreme Court upholding the constitutional validity of the UP Board of Madrasa Education Act 2004, Akhilesh Yadav said that it is the UP government that has been reprimanded the most by the High Court and the Supreme Court. The UP government has repeatedly acted unconstitutionally. This has forced the courts to intervene. I think all those decisions should be rejected.
