Embappé created history by becoming Ligue 1 Player of the Year for the fourth year in a row

A special record is registered in the name of Paris Saint-Germain star player Kylian Embappé. Mbappe has been voted Player of the Year in the Ligue 1 football tournament for the fourth year in a row. He also became the first player to win the award for four consecutive years. Embappé has won the Player of the Year title for four consecutive years from 2019 to 2023. Interestingly, this award has been going to the players of Paris Saint-Germain for the last seven years. Mbappe was preceded by Zlatan Ibrahimovic in 2016, Edinson Cavani in 2017 and Neymar Jr in 2018. Four players have been named in the running for the 2023 award, apart from Mpabe, Achraf Hakimi, Lionel Messi and Nuno Mendes. Lionel Messi, who made Argentina the World Cup champion, has got a nomination in the Best Playing XI for the first time. Nuno Mendis won the Best Left Back award for the second time in a row.
