Elephant statues in Ambedkar Park are being enhanced

Lucknow The presence of Ambedkar Memorial Park is noted among the scenic spots of Lucknow. People come from all over India to see the elephants in this park. Nowadays, the elephant statue in Ambedkar Park is being enhanced. On summer days, thousands of people reach the park at dusk. This number has increased due to holidays in schools.

Ambedkar Memorial Park is maintained under the supervision of the Memorial Committee of Lucknow Development Authority (LDA). Nowadays, the cleaning of elephant statues installed in the park is done by the memorial committee itself. Yaman Hafeez, in-charge of the memorial committee, told Hindustan Samachar that polishing of the elephants is currently being done on a daily basis. The damaged elephant statues are being repaired with the help of the State Construction Corporation. Some idols have been repaired, some are pending and that too will be completed in two-three months.

He said that a total of 78 elephant statues are installed in Ambedkar Park. In which the number of elephant sculptures seen in the series is 60. Elephant sculptures are the center of attraction in this park. People from Lucknow and outside districts also come to see it. In the meantime some people touch the elephant idols, the marks on them are washed off during the cleaning.

Social worker Amit Kumar Agarwal, who reached Ambedkar Park with his family, said that Ambedkar Park is one of the best places to visit with family in Lucknow. Children love to come here. The park is also a delightful place. The beauty here draws us here.

He said that he is an employee of a company, due to which he gets Sunday off. In which a person goes somewhere with family. Most of the time there is a program of watching movies, since there are no special movies these days, he visited Ambedkar Park. His family has also posed for photographs with the elephants.

Lucknow Development Authority Memorial Committee Member Secretary Dr. Indramani Tripathi, who is currently also the Vice-Chairman of the Authority. Dr. Indramani Tripathi also discusses the Ambedkar Memorial Park in the Memorial Committee meeting and keeps giving hints to maintain its cleanliness.
