Edible Oil Price: There was a huge fall in the prices of almost all edible oil-oilseeds in Delhi’s oilseed market on Monday. Major edible oils such as Mustard, Groundnut, Soybean oil-kerosene, Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and Palmolein and Cottonseed oil also suffered heavy losses. But the prices of other oilseeds remained the same as before. Sources with knowledge of the market said that this oil crop declined by half a percent on the Malaysia Exchange, while there was not much movement on the Chicago Exchange.

In general, the wholesale prices of imported edible oils (sunflower, soybean and palm oil) in Bengaluru remain almost the same. But they have different prices when sold in the retail market. For example, the wholesale price of sunflower oil is Rs 80 per litre. 150 per liter in the retail market. Similarly, the wholesale price of soyabean oil at the port is Rs 85 per litre, but in the retail market it is Rs 140 per litre. The wholesale price of palm oil, consumed by low-income consumers, is around Rs 85 per liter at the port. But in the retail market, this oil is sold at Rs.10 per kg. 105 is being sold. The wholesale price of premium quality rice bran oil is Rs 85 per liter and it is currently retailing at Rs 170 per litre.

The prices of oil and oilseeds remained as follows on Monday.

Mustard oilseeds – Rs 4,905-5,005 per quintal (42 per cent status rate).

Groundnut or groundnut – Rs 6,630-6,690 per quintal.

Distribution of groundnut oil mill (Gujarat) – Rs 16,450 per quintal.

Groundnut refined oil was Rs 2,470-2,735 per tin.

Mustard oil Dadri – Rs 9,240 per quintal.

Mustard Pakki Ghani – Rs 1,580-1,660 per tin.

Sarson Kachi Ghani – Rs 1,580-1,690 per tin.

Sesame oil mill distribution – Rs 18,900-21,000 per quintal.

Soybean oil mill delivery Delhi – Rs 10,150 per quintal.

Soybean Mill Delivery Indore – Rs 10,000 per quintal.

Soybean oil Digum, Kandla – Rs 8,540 per quintal.

CPO X-Kandla – Rs 8,700 per quintal.

Cottonseed Mill Distribution (Haryana) – Rs 8,750 per quintal.

Palmolin RBD, Delhi – Rs 10,050 per quintal.

Palmolin X- Kandla – Rs 9,100 per quintal (without GST).

Soybean grain – Rs 5,300-5,350 per quintal.

Soybean loose – Rs 5,050-5,130 per quintal.

Maize Khal (Sariska) – Rs 4,010 per quintal.
