New Delhi : The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued fresh summons to Nationalist Congress Party leader Jayant Patil for questioning on May 22 in the Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services (IL&FS) money laundering case. Earlier, on May 12, he was called to the ED office for questioning.
Jayant Patil had sought time to appear before the ED and submit documents. It is noteworthy that Jayant Patil is counted among the close associates of Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar. The case pertains to alleged irregularities in the loan and equity investment of the IL&FS group in Kohinoor CTNL, which is one of the defaulters.
