In view of this, the district administration and the Ganga Vidhan Manch will start the cleanliness campaign from today. Under this, cleanliness campaign will be conducted at Gangotri Ghat.

Char Dham Yatra started last month from April 22

A lot of dirt is seen on the ghat due to the devotees coming to Chardham. This initiative has been taken by the district administration and the Ganga Vikha Manch, especially where the devotees bathe, where dirt is spread. Along with the cleanliness campaign, the district administration will also give a message to the people not to throw garbage here and there and pay attention to cleanliness.

Cleanliness campaign will be conducted at Gangotri Ghat

In view of the increasing number of devotees at Gangotri and Yamunotri dhams, the district administration and Ganga Vikas Manch will conduct a cleanliness drive at Gangotri ghat today. Gangotri Panch Mandir Samiti, Nagar Panchayat employees will also participate in this cleaning drive, who will conduct the cleanliness drive here. In fact, a large number of devotees from India and abroad flock here, bathe and pray in Mother Ganga, due to which the ghat remains very dirty.

Four lakh devotees had darshan in 28 days

 

Char Dham Yatra started last month on April 22. Four lakh devotees have visited Mother Ganga and Mother Yamuna in the last 28 days in these two temples. As the weather improves slightly in Uttarkashi, pilgrimages to Gangotri Dham and Yamunotri Dham are increasing rapidly. So far 4,15,316 devotees have visited both the temples in the last 28 days. According to statistics, about 15 thousand devotees are coming every day to have a darshan of Maa Ganga, while the number of devotees coming to have a darshan of Yamunotri Dham is also not less.
