Drunk husband strangles wife with scarf, arrested

Ghaziabad: A wife strangled her husband with a dupatta in Jalalabad village of Muradnagar police station. In the following days, the wife was disturbed by her husband’s beating. The police have arrested the wife and have also recovered the dupatta used in the murder.

ACP Amish Patil said that on Sunday, the police received information that a man named Bobby had been killed in Jalalabad village. Police reached the spot and examined the dead body and found injury marks on the neck of the deceased. The police questioned his wife about this, at first she kept talking here and there, but when the police questioned her strictly, she confessed her crime. She told the police that she had an argument with her husband on May 27. Her husband was a heavy drinker and beat her every day, much to her dismay. When her husband fell asleep, she tied his hands and feet with a dupatta and strangled him to death with another dupatta.
