Drugs worth Rs 3 crore seized, three arrested

Hailakandi (Assam): Police raided Jamira Baktal village and seized 332 grams of drugs. The police estimated its value at Rs 3 crore. Police have arrested three people on charges of smuggling.

It was said that following a tip-off, a police team led by Jamira Police Circle Officer-in-Charge Majrul Islam raided Jamira Baktal village and seized a large quantity of drugs. Police have arrested Nazrul Hussain Barbhuinya, Vikram Reang and Ajmal Hussain Barbhuinya in this case. 332 grams of drugs have been recovered from him. According to the police, the value of the seized drugs is Rs 3 crore. Jamira police has registered an FIR in this regard. The police are interrogating the trio.
