Kanpur: Due to the activation of Western Disturbance, the movement of clouds in the sky has increased. Due to which the temperature dropped below 40 degrees on Sunday. However, people were disturbed due to the heat. The Meteorological Department says that there is a possibility of light rain.
Chandrasekhar Azad University of Agricultural Technology Meteorologist Dr. SN Sunil Pandey said a fresh western disturbance will reach western Himalayas from May 23. A trough is passing through Chhattisgarh from Bihar to Telangana at lower level. A trough is extending from northern interior Karnataka to southern Tamil Nadu. During the last 24 hours, the weather conditions across the country caused a heat wave in parts of South West Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. Along with this, clouds continued to be seen intermittently in many districts including Kanpur. Due to which the temperature once again went below normal.
Said that maximum temperature was recorded at 39.8 and minimum temperature was 21.6 degrees Celsius. The morning relative humidity was 41 percent and the afternoon relative humidity was 22 percent. The wind direction was northwesterly with an average speed of 6.4 kmph. According to the forecast, light rain is likely between May 23-25 due to light cloud cover in the next five days.
