Chandigarh: Minister for Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Dr. Baljit Kaur has held a high-level meeting with senior officials of the department regarding fake certificates of scheduled castes in the state of Punjab. The Cabinet Minister said that during the meeting, the representatives of various organizations brought to his notice that many people in the state were taking advantage of jobs by creating fake certificates of scheduled castes appointed to high posts.
The minister listened carefully to the representatives of the organizations and directed the officials of the department to hold a meeting and resolve all the complaints received by the vigilance cell. A meeting should be held every week Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur instructed the district officials that the investigation report of the pending complaints at the district level should be sent immediately.
Additional Chief Secretary Social Justice, Empowerment and Minority Department Ramesh Kumar Genta, Director Social Justice, Empowerment and Minority Department Davinder Singh, Director-cum-Joint Secretary Social Justice, Empowerment and Minority Department Raj Bahadur Singh and representatives of various organizations were present on the occasion.
