This ancestral home of the Ambani family is located in Chorwad village of Junagadh district.
The house was partially rented by the Ambanis in the 20th century before being bought in 2002. Dhirubhai Ambani, who started Reliance Industries, was born in this house. The house was converted into a memorial in 2011.
However, now this house is in discussion because some changes have been made in it. The two-storied mansion has been modified to retain its original architecture. Apart from this, the Ambani family has preserved ancient brass copper utensils, wooden furniture, items of cultural heritage of the family in this house.
This property of Ambani family is spread over 1.2 acres of land. This house is surrounded by greenery. There is a park area here which is divided into three parts. Designed for public part, part private courtyard and part coconut garden
The ancestral house of the Ambani family has been discussed because this house has been renovated at a cost of four to five crores. There is also a theater where a film on the life of Dhirubhai is shown. The Dhirubhai Ambani Memorial House was inaugurated in 2011 in the presence of members of the Ambani family. A part of this house has also been opened for the public. People can watch it from Tuesday to Sunday from 9:30 AM to 5 PM. There is a fee of two rupees for entry in this house.
