Delhi ordinance controversy: Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi meet CM Kejriwal to convince Congress

Delhi News: Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party National Coordinator Arvind Kejriwal has requested Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge to support the Congress in Parliament against the ordinance passed by the Bharatiya Janata Party government. Kejriwal has sought time to meet Rahul Gandhi. CM Arvind Kejriwal in his tweet on Friday called the central government’s ordinance unconstitutional.

 

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, former Maharashtra CM and Shiv Sena’s UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray and former Union Minister Sharad Thackeray have done this to get the opposition parties’ support against the central government’s ordinance. Statement After meeting NCP chief Sharad Pawar on Thursday, he told the media that he would soon meet Rahul Gandhi and seek Congress’s support against the ordinance. A day after his statement, he has sought time to meet the two on Friday.

 

 

These parties have pledged their support to AAP

CM Arvind Kejriwal left Delhi on Tuesday to seek the support of opposition parties against the Centre’s ordinance. In this campaign, he has so far received the support of Janata Dal United, Rashtriya Janata Dal, All India Trinamool Congress, Shiv Sena UBT, Nationalist Congress Party. AAP is expected to get support from Left parties. He has now sought a meeting with top party leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi to seek support from the Congress. Importantly, CM Arvind Kejriwal has called the central ordinance against the country’s constitution. He said that this is also an insult to the decision of the Supreme Court.
