The air of the country’s capital Delhi has become poisonous even before Diwali. At this time, the AQI of the capital Delhi is 245 which is bad for health. Due to increasing pollution in the air, the risk of infection also increases, and asthma patients also have to be very careful because the lungs are affected the most, due to which they have to face difficulty in breathing. Along with this, our eyes also fall prey to air pollution, due to which dryness and other problems arise in the eyes. Toxic gases like nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide cause great harm to the eyes. In such a situation, special care should be taken to avoid these suffocating winds during this time. Let us tell you what you should do to avoid poisonous winds.

Try these measures to avoid air pollution:

  • Use a mask when going out: Masks are beneficial in controlling diseases caused by pollution. Whenever you have to go out of the house, use an N95 mask.
  • Use steam: Pollution and toxic fumes enter our body through our breath which has a bad effect on our lungs and people have to face difficulty in breathing. In such a situation, take steam regularly to keep yourself safe.
  • Consume immunity booster foods: To avoid toxic smoke, strengthen your immunity. To increase it, start consuming vitamin C, fruits, and vegetables and also start drinking a decoction of carom seeds and garlic.
  • Wash your hands before eating anything: Whenever you come from outside or whenever you go to eat anything, wash your hands first. Washing hands kills bacteria and viruses. Also, water should be drunk only after heating it slightly.
  • Plant trees in your home: Plant trees in your home to avoid polluted air. Planting trees will give you pure air.
  • Do yoga-meditation: Include yoga in your life to protect your lungs from pollution. Doing yoga daily will strengthen your lungs. In such a situation, you can do Kapalbhati, Anulom Vilom and for better health.

The government took strict steps:

The government has taken several strict steps to improve the air quality in Delhi. A complete ban has been imposed on firecrackers. However, a large number of firecrackers are being brought inside Delhi from Gurugram, adjacent to Delhi. In such a situation, there is a fear of Delhi’s air getting worse on Diwali. If this happens, GRAP-3 can be implemented. Through GRAP, the government tries to reduce air pollution in Delhi. It includes many types of restrictions.
