Delhi: Man kills wife on suspicion of illicit relationship, police looking for him

New Delhi: Police received a call regarding the murder of a woman in northeast Delhi’s Khajuri Khas area last night. When the police went to the spot, they found the body of a 35-year-old woman lying under the bed.

The deceased woman has been identified as Draupadi (35 years). Draupadi’s daughter told the police that her stepfather Sunil was missing after closing the door of his room.

During interrogation of locals, the police found that Sunil and Draupadi used to fight with each other almost every day. The police opened the locked room in the presence of the landlord and after that the body was brought out.

According to the
police, the deceased woman had injury marks on her forehead and chunni wrapped around her neck. Police have taken the woman’s body into custody and sent it to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital for post-mortem.

According to the
statement of the deceased woman’s daughter, Draupadi was first married to Jyotish Yadav, she had four children, the remaining three children live with Jyotish Yadav in Madhepura, Bihar and Draupadi had kept a daughter with her. She was living with her second husband Sunil for the last 7 years and has no children. Recently, Sunil suspected that his wife was having an illicit relationship with another man. There was often a debate between the couple on this issue.

Sunil
who was looking for the accused Sunil, used to work as a mason by profession. At present, the police is conducting raids in search of him. There is an atmosphere of panic in the area after this incident.
