Delhi High Court rejects Manish Sisodia’s bail plea in liquor scam case

Former Deputy CM of Delhi Manish Sisodia has received a blow from the Delhi High Court. The court has rejected his bail plea in the leaker scam case. AAP said that Manish Sisodia will approach the Supreme Court against the decision.

 

 

Allegations against Sisodia very serious: High Court

The Delhi High Court in its order said that the charges leveled against Sisodia are very serious. His behavior in this matter has also not been good. It can influence witnesses. They have 18 divisions. Former Deputy Chief Minister has been. So he cannot be granted bail now. Manish Sisodia challenged the lower court’s decision in the Delhi High Court as the lower special court rejected his bail plea. The CBI opposed Sisodia’s bail plea during the court hearing, after which the court reserved its decision on the matter on May 11.

The scam took place under a well-planned conspiracy: CBI

ASG SV Raju, who appeared in the court on behalf of the CBI, said that this was done under a well-planned conspiracy. There is no mention of increasing the profit margin from five to 12 percent. There is no debate about this. The reason for increase in interest rate should be included in the file. The investigating agency said why they are giving so much profit to the wholesalers? So that they can get bribe in return.

The CBI cited the GoM report

The CBI quoted the GoM’s March 22 report as saying that if it matches Buchibabu’s March 20 chat, it will be clear that there is a direct link between the two. The agency said the draft policy has been prepared as per the wishes of the southern bloc.

Sisodia to file petition in Supreme Court: AAP

Manish Sisodia will go to Supreme Court against this decision of Delhi High Court. The Aam Aadmi Party has said that Sisodia will file a bail plea in the Supreme Court against Justice Dinesh Kumar Sharma’s decision.
