West Bengal administration has deployed NDRF teams. People have been evacuated from some coastal areas. More than 200 rescuers of NDRF are constantly alerting people through microphones. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea due to the impact of the cyclone. Along with both the countries, the West Bengal system has also made preparations to face the situation.
Strong winds have started blowing as Cyclone Moka intensifies. According to Bangladeshi media, an island in Bangladesh will be submerged due to a more dangerous cyclonic storm. However, this will be temporary and after some time the water will recede from the island. The Bangladesh Meteorological Department says the center of the cyclone is Myanmar, which will also affect Bangladesh’s Cox’s Bazar. It has rained in the coastal areas of Bangladesh.
Cyclone Moka will bring strong winds to the Bay of Bengal and surrounding areas in the Mid-East. Wind speed can reach 210 km per hour. Coastal areas have been alerted. It includes areas like Chattogram, Fani, Noakhali, Laxmipur, Chandpur, Barishal, Putuakhali, Jhalakathi and Bhola.
