Beijing, May 26 (Hindustan Times). The danger of a new and extremely dangerous wave of Corona is looming in China. Zhong Nanshan, director of China’s National Clinical Research Center for Respiratory Diseases, has claimed that 65 million people could be vulnerable to infection every week in June.

Since the month of April in China, there is once again an increase in the number of corona patients. The reason for this is being told to the XBB variant of Corona. In a biotech conference held in Guangzhou city of China, Zhong Nanshan claimed that by the end of May, 40 million people in China would be affected by Corona every week. At the same time, by June, this figure can reach up to six and a half crores.

The XBB variant that has become a new problem for China is a hybrid of Omicron’s BA.2.75 and BJ.2 subvariants. Earlier last year, the corona epidemic in China engulfed the whole country and at that time about 35 million corona infected were found every day in China. In view of the new wave of Corona, the Chinese government has also started preparing for the rescue. Under this, preparations are underway to give final approval for use of the new Corona vaccine in China, which will be effective against the XBB variant of Corona. China’s drug regulators have approved the first two phases of these vaccines and will soon approve them after the third and fourth phases of testing.
