Kolkata: Madan Mitra, a Trinamool Congress MLA from Kamarhati, who was once a close confidant of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, and the SSKM management of Kolkata’s government hospital. In fact, Madan Mitra had reached SSKM Hospital on Friday night to admit a close friend who had been injured in a road accident, but was allegedly not admitted even after running around. After this, Mitra held a press conference and accused the middleman system in the hospital. He said that if the CPI(M) was in power, it would have fixed everything in a minute, but today a middleman system is active in the hospital. If there is no money, no work is done. The hospital management is completely negligent and uncooperative.

Following this, hospital director Mrinmoy Bandopadhyay held a press conference on Saturday afternoon. He alleged that hooliganism was going on in the hospital late at night. Relatives of patients abused the nurses and other medical staff working in the hospital, threatening to kill them. He also threatened about his family. Bullying (bullying) will not be tolerated. However, Mrinmay did not mention Madan Mitra’s name anywhere in his statement.

Talking to the media, he said that there is no system to admit all the patients coming to the hospital and if we cannot do this then we have become brokers and our doctors, nurses, their families and families are mistreated. will be given, it will not be counted. He said that there was bullying (bullying) in the hospital.

However, when asked if Madan Mitra had done this, Mrinmay said that I did not come to explain to anyone. I am telling what happened in the hospital. He said patients were already on ventilators last night. The doctors thoroughly examined the accident victim, administered first aid, explained, extinguished and said that the patient would be called as soon as the ventilator was empty. After which at 2:00 pm the relatives of the patient came and started abusing the hospital staff. He said about 900 patients were being treated in the hospital emergency when the incident occurred on Friday, while 12,000 patients were seen outdoors. All the hospital staff did not show any negligence in medical service. However, if there is an attack for not admitting the patients, it will not be taken into account by the hospital management in any way. We have discussed this with the Chief Minister.

Mrinmoy said that the Chief Minister has also agreed to the zero tolerance policy formulated by the state government for the safety of health workers. A government statement has also been sent to health workers who were victims of Friday night’s attack. Such bullying will not be tolerated. If necessary, necessary legal steps will be taken by talking to the Chief Minister.
