Meteorological Department scientist Atul Kumar Singh has said that there will be a slight increase in night temperature in Uttar Pradesh and further drop in temperature can be seen from 27 December. After this, the weather will become colder from 29 December. Due to this, there is a possibility of cold wave in entire Uttar Pradesh.

AQI has been recorded at 182 in Lucknow, 178 in Meerut, 109 in Prayagraj, 102 in Agra, 97 in Gorakhpur, 93 in Hapur and 78 in Kanpur.
