Blaming Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for the death of three youths due to consumption of alcohol in Rogada village of Nawagarh in Janjgir-Champa district, Chhattisgarh Assembly Leader of Opposition Narayan Chandel has said that illegal liquor is causing death in the state. Poor families are getting ruined in every village. The Bhupesh Baghel government should compensate the families of the three youths who died untimely due to consumption of illegal liquor with Rs 50 lakh each and implement liquor ban immediately.
Opposition leader Narayan Chandel termed the death of three youths due to alcohol consumption as a tragic and major incident and expressed his condolences to the bereaved families. He said that the Chief Minister cannot show the courage to ban liquor. Illegal fake liquor is being sold. A liquor scam worth two thousand crores has been caught. Government is responsible for this. No investigation required. The proof is against it. The Chief Minister himself is admitting that he could not dare to ban liquor. They have no courage because their aim is to make illegal money by robbing the people of Chhattisgarh and playing with their lives. The death of three young men is a very serious matter. Direct action should be taken. We have been continuously raising this issue seriously in the assembly that substandard and illegal liquor is being sold in the state. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and his Congress government are directly responsible for the illegal liquor being sold from government shops and the deaths it causes.
Opposition leader Narayan Chandel said that the Congress government is giving poisoned liquor to the people of Chhattisgarh for illegal earnings. That is why this government is responsible for this death. He said that whenever an incident happens in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel distributes a compensation of 50 lakhs each to please his boss. Now the liquor of Bhupesh Baghel has taken the lives of three children of Chhattisgarh. Destitute three poor families. They should immediately give a compensation amount of 50 lakhs to these families. Also fulfill the promise of immediate implementation of liquor ban leaving all excuses behind.
Opposition leader Narayan Chandel expressed surprise and said that Bhupesh Baghel says that people have died by drinking sanitizer in lockdown! If this happened then Bhupesh is also responsible for it. He gave license to liquor manufacturers to manufacture sanitizer during Corona period. Poisonous liquor is still being sold today. People are dying from drinking it. He said that over 10,000 people have died in accidents in the last two-and-a-half years and alcohol is a major factor in that too. The Bhupesh government is responsible for this death and the demands of the sisters of Chhattisgarh.
