China is challenging the western world in almost every field. Till now the western countries had monopoly in the field of passenger planes, but now China has also entered it.

China’s first indigenous passenger plane C919 successfully completed its first commercial flight on Sunday. Along with this, China has given competition to western companies like Boeing and Airbus in the global market.

The C919’s first commercial flight was from Shanghai to Beijing, operated by the Chinese state-owned China Eastern Airlines. According to China’s official news agency Xinhua, there were 128 passengers on board the plane.

The flight time was two hours 25 minutes. This twin-engine aircraft had 164 seats. The C919 aircraft was developed by the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) and was AA-certified by the Civil Aviation Administration in September 2022.

According to the Chinese government media, the range of this aircraft is 5555 kilometers. This aircraft completed its flight in 2017. It was then tested in a variety of situations and conditions. 32 companies had placed 1035 orders for this aircraft by the end of 2022.
