Chief Minister’s Kanya Vivah-Nikah Yojana is a boon for poor families: Minister Patel

Bhopal, May 18 (Hindustan Times). Farmers-Welfare and Agricultural Development Minister Kamal Patel said that Chief Minister Kanya Vivah/Nikah Yojana is a boon for poor families. Agriculture Minister Patel was addressing a mass marriage ceremony in Gondagaon village of Harda district on Thursday. He blessed 111 newly-married couples at the ceremony. State MP Durgadas Uike, MLA Sanjay Shah, District Panchayat President Gajendra Shah, Vice President Darshan Singh Gehlot, Amar Singh Meena, other public representatives and officials were present on this occasion.

Minister Patel said that due to the scheme run by the sensitive Chief Minister, the marriages of daughters of poor families also take place with pomp and enthusiasm. Families benefiting from this scheme no longer need to take loans for their daughters’ marriage. He said that the government is running welfare schemes to empower all.

Pledged to preserve the environment

Patel administered an environment-protection oath to all the newlyweds participating in the mass wedding ceremony. He also took an oath to the present villagers to plant more and more saplings to preserve the environment.

Inauguration of Block Level AYUSH Camp

Agriculture Minister Patel also inaugurated a block level AYUSH camp at the Chief Minister’s mass wedding venue. Ayurvedic and homeopathic medicines were provided free of cost to the people in the camp. Medicinal plants were also distributed to the newlyweds.

Participated in scientific discussions in Kolipura village

Agriculture Minister Patel on Thursday participated in the Vasumata Cluster Camp-2-cum-Farmer Scientific Discussion organized at Kolipura village under the joint initiative of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Harda and Jawaharlal Nehru Agricultural University. He administered an oath to the farmers for environmental protection and natural farming. Minister Patel also informed the farmers about the scheme run by the government.

Manglik Bhawan was consecrated

Minister Patel laid the foundation stone of Manglik Bhawan construction work of Vishwakarma Samaj at Charuwa village of the district.
