Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said the decision of 19 opposition parties to boycott the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament House is condemnable at the concluding program of the Madhya Pradesh Sports Competition at the Nadiad Sports Complex in Kheda district. The opposition has boycotted several sessions including the special session on GST organized in the interest of the country. The opposition is insulting democracy.

 

The Chief Minister said that this was not the first case of unrestrained protest by the opposition, when former President Ram Nathji Kovind was to become the President, the opposition also delayed as a matter of common courtesy. The opposition also opposed the opportunity to award the Bharat Ratna to President Pranab Mukherjee. Even when Honorable Draupadi Murmu was nominated for the post of President, the opposition opposed and insulted him which was also an insult to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes community.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that the opposition is stopping the progressive plans of the country by protesting. The opposition has lowered the level of political decency and insulted 140 crore Indians which the public will never forget.
