Raigad Ramayana Festival: Preparations for the first National Ramayana Festival in Chhattisgarh are going on in full swing. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has written a letter to the Chief Ministers of all states and Union Territories requesting them to participate in this festival. Let us tell you that the National Ramayana Festival will be organized from June 1 to June 3 at Raigarh Ramlila Maidan in Chhattisgarh.
National Ramayana festival will be organized at Ramlila Maidan
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has written in his letter that the glory and dignity of this national Ramayana festival will increase with the participation of states and Union Territories. CM Baghel has also written in the letter that competitive programs will be organized under the National Ramayana Festival, in which the theme of the dance drama to be presented will be based on the Aranya-Kand of Ramayana. The National Ramayana Festival is being organized at the historic Ramlila Maidan in Chhattisgarh’s city of art and culture, Raigad.
‘A special tribute to the birthplace of Mata Kaushalya’
Chief Minister Baghel has written in the letter that the state of Chhattisgarh is a state rich in religious and cultural heritage. Which has a deep connection with Sri Rama, Mata Kaushalya and the epic Ramayana based on their life. Our state has the special honor of being the birthplace of Lord Rama’s mother Kaushalya. Mata Kaushalya was born in the then South Kosala, now in Chhattisgarh. Mata Kaushalya is known for her generosity, her wisdom and her affection for Sri Rama, which is why she is worshiped as a symbol of motherhood in many places.
‘Chhattisgarh is the only state where there is a temple of Mata Kaushalya’
The CM further said that Chhattisgarh state is the only state where a temple dedicated to Mata Kaushalya has been established. This temple is located at a place called Chandrakhuri in Raipur district. The Chief Minister has also mentioned in the letter that Lord Ram is the most revered deity as a symbol of religion and righteousness in our country as well as abroad. The character of Sri Rama has always been portrayed as an ideal king, an ideal husband, an ideal brother and an ideal son. His works and his teachings in the Ramayana have inspired generations since ancient times to follow the path of morality.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has written to all Union Territories Chief Ministers and Chief Administrative Officers requesting them to participate in the festival. The Chief Minister has written in the letter that the state is planning to organize a national Ramayana festival. It is proposed to be organized from 01 June 2023 to 03 June 2023 at Ram Leela Maidan, Raigad, Chhattisgarh.
CM said that we are very happy to invite the delegation of Ramayana ‘Janki Performance’ troupe from your state. The theme of the dance drama will be based on Aranya Kanda of Ramayana. The Chief Minister has requested that the grand presence of your state in the National Ramayana Festival will add to the grandeur and excitement of the event.
