Case against Imran Khan will be run in military court, Pakistan government has given approval

The Pakistani federal cabinet has approved the decisions taken in the National Security Committee. It decided that protesters who vandalized military installations on 9 May would be prosecuted under the Army Raj Act. According to the report, a few days after the meeting of the NSC and Corps Commanders, in a meeting chaired by PM Shahbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s residence, the trial of civilians in military courts was approved.

Widespread protests followed the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan from the Islamabad High Court by paramilitary Rangers on 9 May. The protesters vandalized public and government properties and even attacked the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi and the Lahore Corps Commander’s residence.

 

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and army officers are on the hit list of terrorist organizations. They are planning to attack the leaders of Pakistan. The media gave this information. The attacks were planned by the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and its offshoot Jamaat-ul-Ahrar (Ju). Apart from this, they are also planning to attack vehicles and posts of Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA). A terrorist group of two suicide bombers under the supervision of JUA leader Rafiullah has entered the state of Punjab.
