Canter falls into pit in Dharamshala, five dead

Dharamshala, May 14 (Hindustan Times). A tragic road accident took place in Dharamshala, the headquarters of Kangra district on Sunday, in which five people were killed. A canter fell into a 100m deep ravine at Uthadgran near Dharamsala in the afternoon. Due to which five people died including three members of the same family.

People were actually harvesting and loading wheat in this canter, but on the approach road near Uthadagaran, the canter went out of control and overturned about 100 meters down the road. As a result, four people died on the spot, while an injured woman succumbed to her injuries during treatment at Tanda Hospital. It is being said that three of these people belong to the same family. A team of police and SDRF personnel reached the spot and took the dead bodies to the regional hospital Dharamshala.

Chief Minister Sukhu expressed grief over the tragedy

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has expressed deep grief over the Dharamshala road accident. In a statement, the Chief Minister said, the state government stands with the people affected by the accident in this hour of grief. He expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family members. He also wished the injured a speedy recovery and said that the local hospital administration has been instructed to provide proper treatment to the injured.

Local MLA Sudhir Sharma also expressed grief, immediate relief of 25 thousand each to the victims

Dharamshala MLA Sudhir Sharma has also expressed deep grief over this tragedy. Dharamshala MLA Sudhir Sharma along with the administration took his team to the spot after receiving information about the accident on Sunday afternoon. Tehsildar Dharamshala, who reached on behalf of the administration on the instructions of MLA Sudhir Sharma, has provided an immediate relief of Rs 25,000 to the victims. Sudhir Sharma went to Shimla on May 13 evening after the programs in Dharamshala constituency. They are monitoring the whole situation from Shimla. Sudhir Sharma said that the state government will provide all possible help to the victims. He said that human life cannot be compensated, but the entire state government is with the victims of this tragedy in their hour of sorrow.
