A law banning caste discrimination has been passed in the state of California, one of the largest states in America. Additionally, California became the first US state to include race as a protected category in its anti-discrimination laws. The anti-racism legislation passed the state senate by a vote of 34-1.

California is located on the west coast of America. It is the most populous state there. It is the third largest US state by area after Alaska and Texas. California is bordered by Oregon to the north and Mexico to the south. The capital of this state is Sacramento. The California State Senate has approved SB-402, an anti-racism bill introduced by Senator Ayesha Wahab. In the voting held there, 34 votes were cast in favor of this bill and only 1 vote was cast against the bill. Now this bill will be presented in the assembly and then it will become law after the signature of the governor.

Upon passage of the anti-caste bill SB-403, all people in the state of California will have equal housing, benefits, facilities. SB-403 provides explicit protections to those who have been systematically harmed by racial bias and prejudice. After the passage of this bill in the Senate, California has now become the first state in America where discrimination on the basis of race has been declared illegal.

After the passing of anti-caste bill SB-402, it is being discussed among people on social media. Now if someone does racism in California, he will have to pay a heavy price for it.
