The car sales figures for November are out. Maruti has once again established its supremacy. Maruti’s car sales have registered a huge 10% increase. Let us tell you that Maruti Suzuki India Limited’s (MSIL) total sales in November increased 10% year-on-year to 1,81,531 units from 1,64,439 units in the same month last year. On the other hand, Tata Motors Limited’s total sales in November increased marginally to 74,753 units from 74,172 units in the same month last year.
Hyundai’s sales fell seven percent.
Hyundai Motor India’s total sales in November declined seven percent year-on-year to 61,252 units as against 65,801 units in the same month last year. Hyundai Motor India on Sunday said domestic sales declined two percent to 48,246 units last month as against 49,451 units in the same period last year. Exports fell 20 percent to 13,006 units last month.
Demand for small cars decreases.d
Sales of small cars like Maruti’s Alto and S-Preso stood at 9,750 units in the month under review, as against 9,959 units in November 2023. Sales of compact cars like Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, Tour, S, and WagonR declined to 61,373 units in November from 64,679 units in the year-ago month. Multipurpose vehicles like Brezza, Ertiga, Grand Vit, a,ra, and XL6 sold 59,003 units last month as against 49,016 units in November last year. Van Eeco sales stood at 10,589 units last month as against 10,226 units in November 2023.
Suzuki motorcycle sales rise
Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL) reported total sales in November up percent to 94,370 units as against 87,096 units in the same month last year. TVS Motor Company reported total sales in November increased to 4,01,250 units as against 3,64,231 units in the same month last year. TVS Motor Company said in a statement on Sunday that total two-wheeler sales last month grew 12 percent to 3,92,473 units as against 3,52,103 units in November 2023.
