Siliguri, May 24 (Hindustan Times). The North Bengal Frontier Border Security Force (BSF) personnel deployed along the India-Bangladesh border have arrested two people, including a Bangladeshi, from different border areas. BSF informed this by issuing a press release on Wednesday.
According to information, personnel of Border Out Post (BOP) Mahadev of BSF’s 15th Battalion under Siliguri sector have arrested a Bangladeshi national. The arrested Bangladeshi national has been identified as Liton Mia (21). The Bangladeshi national was caught while trying to enter Bangladesh in Bangladesh. The arrested Bangladeshi national has been handed over to Jalpaiguri Kotwali Police Station.
Besides, BOP Durgapur personnel of 137th battalion of BSF under South Dinajpur arrested a Bangladeshi national. The arrested Indian national is Anukul Mandal (50). The jawans have seized the contraband from the arrested Indian. Which was brought from India to Bangladesh for smuggling. The arrested Indian national has been handed over to Balurghat Police Station for further action.
