Brigadier Neeraj Punatha inspires naval cadets to serve the country

Lucknow National Cadet Corps (NCC) Group Commander Brigadier Neeraj Punatha reviewed the annual training camp of Naval NCC cadets at La-Martiniere College on Wednesday. He was received by Indian Navy Captain Navendu Saxena, Camp Commandant and Commanding Officer of 3 UP Naval Unit Lucknow. On his arrival, the Group Commander was given a guard of honor and a band performance by Naval NCC cadets.

The Group Commander inspected the camp. Meanwhile, various other training activities for the cadets including boat pulling, swimming, weapon handling, firing, ship modeling and parade training were reviewed. An impressive cultural program was organized at Spence Hall in honor of Brig.

In his address, Brigadier Neeraj Punatha praised the high standards of training imparted to the cadets. He called upon the cadets to develop qualities like leadership, organization, initiative and enterprise along with unity and discipline.

He said that NCC camp is the best opportunity for cadets to hone their individual skills. Cadets were encouraged to join the armed forces and serve the country. During his interaction with the training crew, he appreciated the contribution of Naval Instructors, ANOs and other personnel of the unit in imparting excellent training to the cadets. Brigadier Punatha thanked all the civil and military organizations for their help in conducting the annual naval training camp.

Camp Commandant, Capt Navendu Saxena said, Group Commander’s visit to the camp site will be highly motivating for the young NCC cadets. He also informed that the training camp will end on May 20 with a camp fire and award ceremony.
