Rio de Janeiro, May 27 (Hindustan). Brazil will play friendlies against two African nations as part of an anti-racism campaign in support of Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) said on Friday. Vinicius Junior faced racial abuse in Spanish league games this season.

The five-time world champions will take on Guinea in Barcelona on June 17 and Senegal in Lisbon three days later.

The CBF has also launched a national campaign against racism in Brazilian league matches starting later this week after 22-year-old Vinicius was insulted in a La Liga match in Valencia on Sunday.

Let us tell you that this is the 10th incident of racism with Vinicius in this season of La Liga.

With the slogan “there is no sport with racism”, the CBF aims to carry forward the fight it started in 2022 under its new president, Ednaldo Rodrigues, who pushed for changes to the anti-racism legislation.

“We want Brazil to lead the fight against racism around the world,” Rodrigues said in an interview in March.
