That is why people make bottled gourd koftas and eat them as bhajiya or make gravy vegetables from them. But often it happens that while making bottle gourd koftas, either they become too hard or their batter becomes too thin. So let us tell you how you can make perfect bottle gourd koftas.
Mix one spoon of oil in the gram flour solution
To make the gourd koftas soft and crispy, when you prepare the gram flour batter, after beating it, add a spoonful of hot oil to it. After this, grate the gourd and add it to it. By doing this, the gourd koftas become very soft and the upper layer also becomes crispy.

For the koftas
1 bottle gourd, grated
1/2 cup gram flour
1-2 green chillies, finely chopped
1 tsp ginger, grated
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Method
– To make bottle gourd koftas, peel the bottle gourd and grate it. Squeeze out the extra water with your hands. (Keep the water aside, as it can be used in the gravy.)
– Mix grated gourd, gram flour, green chilies, ginger, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt in a bowl and make a batter.
– Heat oil in a frying pan. Add small batches of koftas by hand and fry on medium flame till they become golden brown and crispy.
You can use these koftas as bhajiyas or you can add them to gravy and make a tasty vegetable.
