Dehradun: Illegal occupation of enemy properties not only in Uttarakhand’s capital Dehradun but in entire Uttarakhand is not acceptable. He has also written a letter to the state chief minister and central officials regarding this.

Referring to Karanpur-based Kabul House, Islamuddin Ansari said that land mafias are keeping an eye on the property worth billions in the heart of the city and the responsible people of the administration are not paying attention to it. He said that people coming from Saharanpur and other areas are doing the business of selling their land while the property of the enemy cannot be sold at all.

He said that the Home Ministry has identified around 70 properties in Uttarakhand. This enemy property was usurped by illegal occupiers after independence. He said that not only in Dehradun, entire Uttarakhand is full of enemy assets. In this context, he spoke about a property on Camel Back Road in Mussoorie, on which the custodian has taken over 1680 square meters of land and has installed a Government of India property board there.

He said that apart from Dehradun, these properties are in Haridwar, Bhagwanpur, Jwalapur and Kichha and other areas which are worth billions. He said that while the properties of some enemies of the Muslim community are being occupied, some properties on EC Road are also being bought and sold.

Islamuddin Ansari has said in this context that the government should make special efforts to prevent these enemy properties from being bought and sold on the basis of fake documents.
