Chitrakoot, May 13 (Hindustan Times). By registering a historic victory in the civic elections, the BJP has achieved great success in waving saffron in Bhagwan Shri Ram’s Bhoomi Chitrakoot. For the first time since independence, BJP has won in Chitrakutdham Karvi municipality. On the other hand, the landslide victory of BJP candidates in Rajapur and the newly formed Nagar Panchayat Madh has spread a wave of happiness among the party leaders and workers.
A neck-to-neck battle between the BJP, SP and BSP is being considered for the civic polls at the world-famous mythological pilgrimage site of Chitrakoot. Candidates of all parties have put their full strength into the election campaign. The absence of any senior leader of SP and BSP in the campaign led to disappointment among the workers of both the parties. On the other hand, activists were very excited as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti and Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak landed to campaign in support of BJP candidates. The low voter turnout definitely put a strain on the minds of the leaders who were dreaming of a record victory.
On the other hand, the settlement was completed in Chitrakoot Inter College of Karvi Municipality, Tulsi Inter College of Rajapur Nagar Panchayat, Adarsh Inter College of Manikpur and Mauni Purushottam Inter College amid tight security of the administration on Saturday. In Karvi Municipality election, BJP candidate Narendra Gupta got 17355 votes, SP candidate Jageshwar Yadav 10859, BSP candidate Kushal Patel 4074, Congress Niranjan Kushwaha 1347 and independent candidate Nishi Soni 6054 votes. BJP candidate Narendra Gupta defeated SP candidate Jageshwar Yadav by 6496 votes and achieved a historic success in hoisting the saffron flag for the first time since independence in Chitrakoot.
And in Nagar Panchayat Rajapur BJP candidate Sanjiv Mishra got 4471 votes, SP candidate Prince Kesharwani 1570, BSP candidate Uma Devi 2021, Congress candidate Urmila Devi 313 and independent candidate Adarsh Kumari 3136 votes. BJP candidate Sanjeev Mishra was successful. In Nagar Panchayat Rajapur, Bhagwa Jhando defeated nearby candidate Adarsh Kumari by 1335 votes. Along with this, BJP candidate Amit Dwivedi got 2357 votes, SP candidate Sachin Rastogi 1055, BSP candidate Jamuna Kesharwani 711, Congress candidate Suman Vishwakarma 24 and independent candidate Sandeep Tripathi got 1272 votes in the newly formed Nagar Panchayat Mau.
In Nagar Panchayat Mau, BJP candidate Amit Dwivedi won the saffron by defeating the nearest candidate Sandeep Tripathi by 1085 votes. On the other hand, Rani Devi, an independent candidate, was dominant in Nagar Panchayat Manekpur. Here, BJP candidate Bitti Devi Kohl got 1558 votes, SP candidate Manjali Sonkar got 389 votes, BSP candidate Manisha Devi got 1128 votes, while independent candidate Rani Devi got 3239 votes. Rani Devi won a historic victory by defeating BJP’s nearest candidate Bitti Cole by a margin of 1681 votes.
There is a wave of happiness among BJP people with the historic victory of BJP candidates Narendra Gupta, Sanjiv Mishra and Amit Dwivedi in Karvi Municipality, Nagar Panchayat Rajapur and Dharma Nagri Chitrakoot. Banda-Chitrakoot MP RK Singh Patel congratulated the BJP candidates for their victory and said that this is the victory of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and activists like Bhagwan. He said that the public welfare schemes implemented by the double engine government have made the people of the entire state happy. The double engine government has established the rule of law in the state by eliminating dacoits, gangsters and mafias. The people, influenced by the policies of the government, have formed a triple engine government in UP. Now the central and state government schemes will be effectively implemented on the ground. Due to which poor people will get prosperity and happiness.
On the other hand, Narendra Gupta elected president from municipality Karvi, Sanjeev Mishra elected president from Nagar Panchayat Rajapur and Amit Dwivedi elected president from Mau said their priority is to implement welfare schemes effectively. All round development of the area will be done by central and state governments all possible efforts will be made to bring smile and happiness on the faces of the people by solving their problems immediately. He has thanked the Prime Minister, Chief Minister, party organization and MPs, MLAs and people of the region for the victory in the elections.
