Imran Khan’s close aide and senior leader of his party Tehreek-e-Insaf and former Union Minister Fawad Chaudhary has resigned from PTI. He has condemned the violence that broke out on May 9 after the arrest of Imran Khan.
Fawad Chaudhary is considered the main architect of Imran Khan’s victory in the year 2018. Fawad Chaudhary tweeted that I have decided to take a break from politics, so I have resigned from the party post and I am separating from Imran Khan.
Army and government are putting my people in jail: Imran
On one hand Fawad Chaudhary resigned and on the other hand Imran Khan was addressing the country. Imran Khan said that the government and the army are putting the leaders and workers of my party in jail. These people are being pressurized to leave PTI. If someone says that I am not in PTI, he is thrown out.
Let us tell you that after May 9, due to the violence that broke out all over Pakistan, many senior leaders of PTI have left Imran Khan. Big leaders of PTI are saying goodbye to the party one after the other. So far the biggest name among these leaders is that of Fawad Chaudhary.
Became a minister in Imran’s government
In the year 2018, during the tenure of the Imran government, Fawad Chaudhary became the Federal Minister of Science and Technology. He was then the Minister of Information and Broadcasting from 14 April 2021 to 10 April 2022. Born in Kedina, Punjab province of Pakistan, Fawad Chaudhry also served in the federal cabinet of Prime Ministers Yousuf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervez Ashraf between 2012 and March 2013.
