Big Bang! The New Ola S1 Pro Launched with Major Upgrades in Price, Range, and Features

New Gen2 Ola S1 Pro: Ola launched its electric scooter, the S1 Pro, two years ago. Now, the company has announced the arrival of the second-generation model with an all-new platform, upgraded motors, and a new battery pack. The hardware has also been updated to enhance its performance and range. The price for the new Gen2 Ola S1 Pro is ₹1,47,499, which is an increase of ₹7,500 compared to the previous model.

The new Ola S1 Pro is built on the platform of the Ola S1 Air. It features a tubular frame and a hybrid frame architecture. This new platform utilizes 70% fewer parts, resulting in a weight reduction of 14%. In comparison to the previous model, the new version comes with double-sided swing arms, replacing the single-sided unit. This change was made to address the concerns about breakages that were associated with the previous model.

To make the new model stronger and more efficient, significant work has been done on its architecture. The flat footboard is integrated into the architecture, and the grab handle design resembles that of the Ola S1 Air.

The new Ola S1 Pro is equipped with an 11 kW motor that generates a power of 14 bhp. This motor is 6 kW more powerful than the previous model. It can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 90 km/h, while it takes 4 seconds to reach 60 km/h.

It offers four riding modes, providing versatile performance options. The top speed has been increased from 90 km/h to 120 km/h in this second-generation model. The Gen2 Ola S1 Pro comes with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that can be accessed via a finger touch.

Ola has improved the insulation and thermal performance of the electric scooter to prevent any incidents of burning, which were reported on social media. The new scooter has seen improvements of up to 25% in these aspects. Bookings for the new model have already begun, and deliveries are set to commence in September.
