Bhopal: Administration demolishes illegal bar operating on government land in Katara Hills

Bhopal: A team of administration, municipal corporation and police demolished an illegal beer bar operating on government land in Rajat Golden Colony of Katara Hills on Wednesday morning. Residents complained about this to the Commissioner of Police and the Collector, after which action was taken within 24 hours. If the beer bar is not removed, the people of the colony have warned to sit on dharna with children and elders.

A beer bar was running illegally outside the main gate of Rajat Golden Colony in Ward-85 of the capital for several days. Residents said a bar has been built on government land with bamboo poles. There was a crowd of drinkers from morning till night, due to which the people of the colony were greatly disturbed. In the evening it used to get jammed due to vehicles.

People had been complaining for several days about beer bars being run outside the main gate of Rajat Golden Colony. He also tweeted to the Chief Minister. On Tuesday, the residents of the colony also approached the Commissioner of Police and the Collector regarding the same issue. After the complaint, Collector Ashish Singh instructed to take action. Because of this, on Wednesday morning, the team of the district administration and the municipality removed the beer bar in the presence of the police. Umashankar Tiwari, chairman of the Bagh Mughlia Expansion Committee, said that the closure of the beer bar has given residents a sigh of relief.
