Due to which the Bathinda-Firozepur rail service has been badly affected. The Bathinda-Firozepur railway track is also flooded, due to which the train from Ferozepur to Bathinda has been stopped. The train stopped for about an hour. Now the police administration has reached the place of the incident. The surrounding fields and houses are flooded and people are trying to stop the flow of water at their own levels.

Besides, strong winds in Abohar last night burst several canals in the area, inundating hundreds of acres of land and ruining farmers’ crops. According to information received, crops were broken up to 30 feet in Kandhwala Kikarkheda Minor due to strong winds last night, affecting 5 acres of farmer Mangat Ram, 15 acres of soft crops of Ramesh Kumar and other surrounding crops. Farmers were drowned in water.
Similarly, due to a 25 feet breach in Malukpura minor near Dhani Nayanwali, water entered the paddy field of a farmer living there, destroying the wheat crop kept there and other farmers’ fields were also inundated. Similarly, in Gidwali village of Diwankheda, the crops of farmers were washed away due to the bursting of the canal due to the storm last night.
It is to be noted that the heavy storm and wind that occurred late in the night in Bathinda district have caused heavy damage. Due to the storm and strong winds, the trees fell on the road. The strong winds blew away the sheds erected by a large number of people.
