Bangladesh is important for India from strategic point of view: Ghulam Mohammad

Dhaka : Bangladesh’s main opposition Jatiya Party President and former Commerce Minister Ghulam Mohammad Kader says that India is our best friend country and will remain so in future. He said that Bangladesh is a very important nation for India from a strategic point of view.

In a special conversation with Hindustan News, Ghulam Mohammad Kader said that India is our biggest neighboring country. India and Bangladesh are two separate sovereign nations but culturally we are all one. Our cultural, social and economic relations with India are also very strong.

He said that the common culture, heritage, language, literature and history of Bangladesh and India provide intimacy to the relations between the two countries. Rabindranath Tagore is the author of the national anthem of India as well as Bangladesh.

The head of Bangladesh Jatiya Party said that India is our biggest neighboring country. He also plays the role of a good neighbor. During this, while discussing the freedom struggle of 1971, he said that the then Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi had helped a lot for the independence of our country. Also arranged weapons and training for our freedom fighters.

Praising the current Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, Ghulam Mohammad Kader said that during the Kovid crisis, he had helped Bangladesh unprecedentedly by sending the Corona vaccine. Kadar said that India has helped us in every crisis, so we are always grateful to our neighboring country.

In response to a question, he said that if a war situation arises between India and China, Bangladesh will stand firmly with India. Mohammad Kader told that his elder brother Hussain Mohammad Irshad has been the President of Bangladesh. He has also always been in favor of having cordial relations with India.

Regarding the visit of Govardhan Peethadhishwar Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Shri Adhokshajanand Dev Teerth to Bangladesh, the head of the Jatiya Party said that we are all very happy with the arrival of Maharaj ji. He has come here to bless people of every religion. Worshiping for the welfare of the whole world. We have also given civic greetings to Jagadguru here. Extensive arrangements for protocol and security have also been made by the government. Ghulam Mohammad Kader has also requested Shankaracharya to visit his parliamentary constituency, Rangpur.

Significantly, Shankaracharya Swami Shri Adhokshajanand Dev Teerth is currently on a pilgrimage to Bangladesh. He is visiting and worshiping in Shakti Peethas and other important temples located in Bangladesh. Jagadguru is accompanied by a delegation of saints and scholars from India, including Deputy Speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly Ram Prasad Pal, senior journalist PN Dwivedi from Uttar Pradesh, Peethadhishwar Shrimahant Triveni Puri from Dibrugarh Assam, senior journalist Tarun Chakraborty from Kolkata, Dr. Omprakashacharya and Mahant Nityanand Giri, Thanapati of Kamakhya Dham Guwahati, Assam are prominently involved.
