Bajaj company has relaunched its Avenger 220 street bike (Bajaj Avenger 220 Street) in the Indian market. The company has discontinued this cruiser motorcycle in the year 2020. The other two bikes in the Avenger series are the Avenger 220 Cruise and the Avenger 160 Street, which are top sellers. Avenger 220 street bike is quite good in terms of design. It gets round headlamps, dictator, a small visor, a tall sweeping blacked-out exhaust, an old fuel tank design and all-black alloy wheels.
The Bajaj Avenger 220 street bike shares almost the same specifications as the 160cc Avenger. The suspension setup is very simple. The front gets telescopic units and the rear gets twin shock absorbers with rubber gaiters. Disc brakes are available at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The bike gets a single pod fully digital instrument cluster and single-channel ABS.
The Avenger 220 Street comes with a 220cc air- and oil-cooled single-cylinder engine. It produces 19 bhp and 17.55 Nm of peak torque. This engine will also be present in the new Pulsar 220F and Avenger 220 Cruise. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The price of this cruiser motorcycle is Rs 1.42 lakh (ex-showroom). The company is also selling its 220 Cruise at the same price.
