Melbourne : Australian fast bowler Josh Hazlewood has returned to full fitness and will be available for the World Test Championship final and the Ashes against India.
Please tell that Josh Hazlewood could not play in the first half of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 due to injury. He played his first match against Lucknow Super Giants on 1 May. After that he returned home after getting injured before the last league match of RCB. Hazlewood had suffered a heel injury earlier this year. After this, he could not play both Test and ODI series on the tour of India.
A Cricket Australia (CA) spokesperson said, “Josh Hazlewood returned home from the IPL last weekend after experiencing minor back pain. After a brief and precautionary rest period, Hazlewood returned to bowling last week. He is fit for the WTC and Ashes series and is available for selection.”
Australia has announced a 17-player squad for the World Test Championship final, with the final 15 players to be announced before the team departs on May 28. WTC Finals will start from 7th June. After this, a five-match Ashes Test series will be played between Australia and England.
