On Tuesday, the police registered an FIR after a video surfaced of some people trying to offer a chadar at the Jyotirlinga Trimbakeshwar temple in Nashik. On the other hand, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has ordered the formation of an SIT to probe the entire matter. The viral video is from Saturday, in which some people try to enter the temple gate with a cloth tied on their heads, but the guards stop them. Meanwhile, tongues begin to break and eventually those people have to turn back. Regarding this incident, the temple trust has filed a police complaint against the accused youths. An official of the trust said that only Hindus can enter the Trimbakeshwar temple. Security has been increased in the temple premises after the incident. The SIT probing the incident will be headed by an ADG rank officer. The SIT will also probe another such incident that took place last year.
