‘Attacks on Hindu temples not tolerated’ Modi raises issue against PM of Australia

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a three-day visit to Australia. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday (May 24) held a bilateral meeting with his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese. India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval were also present in the meeting. After the meeting, both the countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Along with this, PM Narendra Modi also invited Anthony Albanese to come to India for the Cricket World Cup. Both the leaders addressed a joint press conference.
After signing the MoU, PM Modi said, ‘In terms of cricket, our relations with Australia have turned into T20 mode. The Indian community in Australia is a vibrant bridge between the two countries. In conversation with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese today, we discussed taking our Comprehensive Strategic Partnership to new heights in the next decade and discussed in detail the possibilities of mutual cooperation in new areas.
The issue of attack on temples raised
During the bilateral meeting, the Prime Minister also raised the issue of attacks on temples in Australia. After meeting Prime Minister Albanese, he said that we have talked about the attack on temples in Australia and the activities of separatist elements before and we talked about it today. Such elements cannot be allowed to vitiate India-Australian relations with their views and actions. I thank Prime Minister Albanese for the steps he has taken. Along with this, he has assured that strict action will be taken against such people in future also.
On Wednesday, PM Modi was given a ceremonial Guard of Honor at Admiralty House in Sydney, Australia. Prime Minister Modi also signed the visitor’s book at Admiralty House in Sydney.
addressed the native Indians
Wednesday is the last day of PM Modi’s three-day Australia tour. Earlier on Tuesday, there was a mega show of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Sydney’s Arena Stadium. During this, PM Modi addressed more than 20000 Indians. In his address, PM Modi described mutual trust and respect as the foundation of close ties between Australia and India and gave credit for this to the Indian expatriates living in Australia.
The Prime Minister said during the address that earlier it was said that the relationship between India and Australia is defined by 3C’s, Commonwealth, Cricket and Curry. It was said then that our relationship is defined by ‘democracy, migrant and friendship’. Some people also said that our relationship depends on three e-energy, economy and education, but I believe that India-Australia relationship is more than that, it is mutual trust and mutual respect.
PM Modi held a meeting with CEOs of top Australian companies in Sydney on Tuesday. During the meetings, the Prime Minister called for increased collaboration with Indian industry in areas such as technology, skills and clean energy.
