Assam will get first Vande Bharat train, PM Modi will give green signal

After being introduced in different parts of the country, the northeastern state of Assam will also get its first Vande Bharat Express on Monday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today flag off Assam’s first Vande Bharat Express through video conferencing for the people of the North East. A government official gave this information on Sunday. Before the inauguration, PM Modi said that the train will boost tourism and enrich socio-economic development in the Northeast. PM Modi tweeted that I am happy to give green light to Assam’s first Vande Bharat Express on May 29 at 12 noon. This state-of-the-art train symbolizes our commitment to provide speed, comfort and better connectivity. This will also boost tourism.

 

 

Will complete the journey in 5 hours 30 minutes

The PMO said that the state-of-the-art Vande Bharat Express will provide the people of the region with a means of traveling with speed and comfort and will also boost tourism in the region. This train connecting Guwahati to New Jalpaiguri will save about an hour of travel time compared to the existing fastest train.

The official said Vande Bharat Express will complete the journey in 5 hours 30 minutes, while the current fastest train takes 6 hours 30 minutes to cover the same journey. There will be no service of this train on Tuesday. The new service will cover the 411 km distance between Guwahati and New Jalpaiguri in 5 hours 30 minutes, significantly reducing the shortest journey time currently available by the fastest train.

The train service will run six days a week

 

The Vande Bharat Express train service will run six days a week and will be the fastest train in the region and will benefit IT professionals, businessmen, students and tourists. This will help in reducing travel time as well as providing pollution free transport
